Community Nurses

A team of experienced community nurses will visit housebound patients with nursing needs such as wound care, continence management and management of acute/long term medical conditions. They are also available for advice. This service is provided seven days a week between 9.00 am – 5.00 pm and 6.30 pm – 11.00 pm. Community nurses can be contacted via the surgery reception.

Health Visitors

Our health visitors are based at the health centre but they visit the surgery weekly. Their work is mainly with families with children up to 5 years old and offer routine child development assessments.
Health Visitors are able to give advice about the whole range of health issues for you and your family. They have a wide range of local knowledge but if they are unable to help, they will direct you to an agency that can.

Child Health & Baby Clinics take place on Tuesday afternoons between 1.15pm – 2.45pm at Christchurch and Wednesday mornings 9.30am – 12.00 midday at Bedford Road Health Centre (no appointments necessary). To contact the health visitors please telephone 01438 781356.
